Additional Information

Note to all 100HP 1.9L PD TDI owners (especially BEW and BRM engines): We don't recommend modifying your exhaust and intake if you plan on keeping your turbo stock and if you are interested in maximum power. The stock turbo is prone to boost creep (overboost at high RPM) as it cannot throttle back with the improved exhaust flow. The solution to this problem is to re-install stock parts, upgrade your turbo, or limit the high-RPM power increase in the tune, which we can happily help you with.

For industrial applications or for those who simply want to run the engine without a turbocharger (to simplify engine swaps or to eliminate the cost of a replacement turbo).

This stage will produce exhaust smoke when full power is applied.

* Roughly half of BEW, BRM, and similar 2004-2006 PD TDIs may have boost creep with +40HP, no matter where you buy the tune from. We value long-term reliability and thus recommend a boost gauge or VCDS logging. Our most popular tune is Stage 1.5 that gives +30HP with minimal risk of boost creep. Please contact us for any questions.

We also do not recommend upgrading the exhaust in the 1.9L PD TDI, even if it's just replacing the muffler with a straight pipe. That improves exhaust flow, which exacerbates the stock turbo's boost creep problem. If needed, wWe can reduce mid-high RPM power to eliminate boost creep.
