"I initially chose Mark Malone, Malone Tuning to tune my 1Z powered 1978 Bus because of his experience with tuning Vanagons with similar setups. Repowering a heavy, non-aerodynamic vehicle requires paying more attention to EGTs. It's no good to get a big power bump that only lasts until a turbo or piston is melted and Mark has the expertise and judgement to know how-much is too much and how to get the best power & MPG without damaging things. After the initial tuning, Mark has remained available and responsive and has made additional adjustments based on my feedback. The result is that my tune now truly fits my application like a glove. Power, economy are there. Some power has been removed at my request to make it easier on the transaxle. Through it all, Mark had been knowledgeable, responsive and easy to deal with, much recommended!"
